Description

I did a lot of experimenting with lighting in this shoot and got some really cool effects :)

In this setup I turned the two Canon Speedlite 580EX II flashes (in 2 meter high softboxes with grids on) that I normally have behind my models inwards and moved Lysle back against the wall, so he was between the two lights.

In front of him, I had a 48cm Ring Light (65W) but in addition to that, I also had a Yongnuo YN560 Speedlite flash in a 60cm square softbox about a meter in front of him, high up on a boom stand, pointing down at him. The light wasn't right above him, so it was falloff light from the side of the softbox - a little trick I learned from Joey Lawrence :)

Model: Lysle Turner

haven't been on here in ages, but always refreshing to see what you've been up to! This photo looks so immaculate that there really isn't much more to comment about. I think your lighting was spot on, and that background is so bold, I absolutely love it! You say he was standing against the wall, but it looks like there is quite some depth between him and the wall. Either way, 10/10 on this. I'm hoping absolutely minimal editing was done afterwards? ;)
